Shermco Electrical Safety Program
As an OSHA VPP site Shermco has committed to providing a work environment whereby all employees will be able to perform their assigned responsibilities efficiently and safely. Shermco has an obligation to provide a safe workplace and each employee has an obligation to maintain a safe workplace by using safe work practices regardless of location or task. No project is worth the death of or injury to our employees or the damage to or destruction of our customer’s equipment. Safe work practices are essential to the well-being of both our employees and our Company.
This program contains the minimum requirements necessary to maintain compliance with OSHA electrical safety regulations and the requirements of NFPA 70E. Additional requirements are addressed in detail in other EHS Policies and Procedures.
This program covers electrical safety-related work practices and procedures for all employees (to include outside personnel, contractors, sub-contractors and vendors) who work while exposed to electrical hazards. Additional requirements have been included in this program to protect unqualified employees from electrical hazards.
