Human Performance Culture
Shermco has a continuing quest to enhance and improve the difference delivered to our employees and customers. To accomplish this, we partnered with the Practicing Perfection Institute (PPI) and introduced the Human Performance (Hu) model to our senior leadership and management teams. The Hu model is a systematic approach used to continuously improve the reliability, efficiency, productivity, and safety of our organization.
Human Performance Process
This process is based on four critical pillars that we refer to as precepts.
- Things are the way they are because they got that way;
- About 84% to 94% of all mistakes on the job are set up by the process, programmatic or organizational issues;
- Employees come to work every day wanting to deliver a good and safe job; and
- The people who do the work are the ones who have the answers.
With these precepts in mind, everything we do is done with a belief that it can be improved on and thereby empowering us to deliver a better outcome to both our internal and external customers.
