Power Factor Correction Series

Switching power supplies without power factor correction draws current in short, high-magnitude pulses. This course introduces modern cable splicing techniques and materials. We provide an in depth understanding of controlling electrical stresses and cable construction with more than half of the class time spent with hands-on splicing and terminating of cables.

Substation Maintenance II: Transformers and Relays

It will also include how to test a selection of substation protective relays, how to interpret the results of those tests and how to properly maintain the relay components.
